The representatives of the 26 companies in Greece that participated in a Labor Ministry event held last Saturday in London as part of the Rebrain Greece action have returned with at least 300-310 CVs in their luggage.
These are companies that offer hundreds of high-level jobs in various fields of specialization such as construction, insurance and finance, law, shipping, pharmaceuticals, IT, telecommunications, technology, energy, tourism etc. Their executives traveled to London, where they saw more than 1,300 participants. The majority of them were Greeks living and working in London, while there were quite a few who traveled from France, Belgium, Scotland, Ireland, even Switzerland and Germany with the aim of hearing firsthand what opportunities are opening up for them in Greece.
On average, each company collected 310 CVs, while their senior executives conducted approximately 120 interviews with individuals whose qualifications and experience seemed to match their needs. At least 100 questions were also posed to both the company representatives and the ministry officials.
Most people showed great interest in the changes in the labor market, in the opportunities and the incentives for returning. According to company representatives, the expectations of the companies offering jobs were exceeded, as they received high-quality CVs and conducted several dozen valuable interviews on site, having expected to conduct just 20-30 interviews each.
As after the two previous events in London and Amsterdam, the contacts will continue. Company officials told Kathimerini that this is an ongoing process, as on the one hand the decision for a new relocation of high-ranking executives at very large companies abroad cannot be made within 24 hours, and there are obligations and contracts in force or even family issues that must be settled for someone to start working in Greece.
Already, several dozen employees have started working, having had their first contact with their new employer through Rebrain Greece, and there are others about to sign a final agreement.
